No webcams

1. Scan you computer. (With this I mean scan your computer for viruses, duh)
2. Close all unnecessary programs eating your internet speed.
3. Check steam, it likes to update whole bunch of games while you are in one.
4. Restart your router.
5. Close all web-pages you are in.
6. Move to Europe.
7. If some one else in your house is using internet, run into his room and kick his PC Case, grab his screen and throw it out of the window.
8. Pray.
9. Repeat last 8 steps.
10. What are you looking at? THERE IS NO STEP 10!

I had step 5 a while ago, so I always close things that I'm in other than steam chats. Step 2, what other programs, like a web browser? I has Vista, and no one is using the internet atm or when I was playing.

I joined other servers I play on such as deathmatch servers, and I noticed how the problem is there too. I thought it was only on Manni's and Manni and Berni's, but its everywhere for me. It may be off-topic, but every server I join into on the whole HL2DM universe, I get:

-Laggy games
-Cannot type in chat
-Switching to a weapon is difficult because something makes it switch back to the last weapon
-I walk forward but end up in other places (Mostly walk in a zig-zag)

Anybody know how to fix this? Not only can I not play on this server, I can't play on any! I've already re-installed the game, but the problem continous. If anyone knows how to fix this, please tell me, because it is very hard to play (And because simple noobs can kill me, I'm an easy target now )

Do you have any DL's on?

No downloads. I download when I have steam set to busy

Other programs like, Chat Clients, maybe virus protection.. Or then you just might have broken graphics card.

Webcam does not lag on your computer when it's not active, but if it's active, then yes, it will put some lags on your system.

lolwtf dude. stop using Norton for now. I'll just give you Eset Smart Security 4 with NodEnabler tomorrow.

I'm not sure if you ever tried to use this cool program called EndItAll.

It's really useful to eliminate at up to 85% of unnecessary tasks, such as Norton 360. Why don't you give it a try? I used it when I had lag issues on my Athlon 64 X2 +3800.

I prefer BitDefender, its much stronger and more secure than Eset.

But i have to wait for the new version because the real time protection kept crashing on Vista for no reasons.

Hmmm, it's not like that important for a thread I guess? what do you use Polo? Or, what do you all use for your AV? I found Esset Nod32 best tbh, used before Avast but that is bad :/

I use NOD32 at the moment, and i really like it. I was using Norton a year ago, and I decided to change to NOD32. I think we're going off-topic, that's what I say that.
