This thread is about how to play on the Roleplay Server.

Post a small howto for newbes on the Roleplay server.
The best howto will then be the first post (this post) in this thread and the other posts can be tips for newbes.

Hello, welcome to Manni's Roleplayhouse. :)

First of all read the Roleplay rules  on "www.mannisfunhouse.eu".
Type ingame !help that will show you usefull commands etc.
On Roleplay, you must make money to buy weapons, food and other stuff.
There are 3 types of order to make money.

First: You earn every minute as much money as you have wage (your wages you see top left)

Second: By rob from vendors and Banks every second you get 3 $ (to rob a vendor press shift 2 times)

Third: By killing other players you get money while you take the dropped money by press e.

--->But watch out, you get crime for point 2 and 3, so the cop can cuff you!<---
There are 2 server with same database (that means you have same wages and all your stuff there too)

hmm... well, first things first, "about money": you can earn it (wait/wages), steal it (approach a vendor (random npc) and press shift, you'll get 3$ per sec until the regestry is empty, and finally kill to get it (kill other players and pick up the shiny stuff they drop :P).

About "items and weapons": You can buy alot of items and weapons from npc's you find on the map by pressing "E" and than "Esc", a menu should pop up showing you the items you can purchase from that npc. When you buy the item you can equip it by typing !items or /items in the general chat (for a full list of commands check the "RolePlay Commands" sticky here on the forum).

Now to "crime points": whenever you shot/kill someone or steal from an npc you will get crime points, you will get different crime point amounts for different crimes you do, when you have crime a cop (player on combine team) will try to cuff you and send you to jail, there you will have to wait for the cop     to release you, when a cop approaces you he will give you a menu, accsses it by pressing "Esc", and chosing wheather to pay the cop your bounty or to stay in jail for a certan amount of time. And you cannot be sent to jail if you do not have crime (issue with some newbes).

Welcome on the roleplaying server.

This roleplay server exists of a map played by several players. To keep a friendly enviroment, we request you to refrain from rulebreaking.

1. The mayor purpose of this map, is to reinact the real life community as good as possible. This includes having a job, have a house or having a large armada of weapons.

There are 3 mayor groups on this map. The rebels, which are citizens, and the combine. These resemble the cops on the server. Combine cuff and jail rebels who have been penalized with crime. When you join the server, you can only be a rebel at first. The last group is the local group of npcs (non player character). These npcs aid you with food, drinks, weapons, gadgets, or in some cases: Cash.

2. Before you get started, it's always wise to read the rules. These can be found under the roleplay forumtab on www.mannisfunhouse.eu/forum. You could also type /rules in the window to get the same results.

When you join the first time, you can get to either a dog npc to change your job. These (and every other npc) can be contacted by pressing e and escape after, when looking at them. This can also be done while typing /jobmenu in our window. There is a large list of choices, which is enlarged if you donate to become a vip member.

3. There are several ways to get cash on this server. You'll get a vast ammount of cash every minute, which depends on how long you have been on the server. The other ways are by either robbing a npc (by pressing shift near one twice) or killing other people.

Once you get items, you can get to them by typing /items in your window.. and pressing escape after having entered it.

4. Robbing and killing will get you penalized. You'll get a fixed ammount of crimepoints which will make your name go red. When being in this state, no vendor except the bank npcs will speak to you.. and cops can cuff you.

When being cuffed, you can be either cuffsawed or sent to jail. When sent to jail, you'll have to wait several minutes + your crimelevel. This can be shortened significantly if cops asks a bail fee. Cops won't ask any fee if you end up killing cops.

You can request to become a cop once you have 20 wages. There is no guarantee you can become a cop, as many request the same thing. Best is to have a clean record, and a slight popularity.

Last but not least:

5. If you end up finding bugs on the server, it might be wise to inform the admins on the forums that there might be a possible bug there. False reporting to get an amdins attention can and will result into a ban.  On that point, you're not supposed to bother an admin with trivial matters. If something needs to happen, they would already have done so.

On any other matter, have fun on the server.
