help with manni sounds
« on: 14. July 2008, 12:00:12 »
Hi ive talked with m!ke , admin of manni puzzle server and he said me this is the place where i can get help.
My question :
I have a 32 slots zombie mod server, and i've activated in manni cfg file the sound option with 6 each round each player.
I modified soundlist.txt with

"au" mannisounds/aau.mp3
"austinpowers" mannisounds/austinpowers.mp3
...
...
...

And all players download the songs, but the problem comes when we are in the server and we type for example.

au or any song, and they are not played.

Could you tell me whats wrong or where can i get an small manual step by step about that ?

Big Thanks!

Hi.

You have also to edit the commandlist.txt, so that you make each command
for a specific sound playable.
e.g.

"hi" C ma_play hi
1. soundtext chat trigger
2. C = Client
3. ma_play command
4. hi  <-  play the sound listed in the soundlist.txt

I don't use MANI admin plugin anymore, since a long time now.
For further information or help, you can look

Yeah, thanks, all sounds work now.

Only one question more, when i type for example : hi twice , they sound stop and starts again, how can i do to players cant play a new sound until the sound finishes ?
I mean for example : i type : didado
Then all people listen didado but if they type didado again while the server is runing it, then it doesnt allow you and tell you, < Wait for the sound finishes >. Then another sound can be played.
Big Thanks.

This doesn't work with MANI  :(

You could try to make a script (Eventscrips), that turns the sound off
for a specific time a sound plays.

It was just an idea. This is not easy scripting, and
you were not able to do a little change in the commandlist.txt.
But if you want still try it, ask in the eventscripts forum ....  http://mattie.info/cs/

(Sry, i don't use eventscripts anymore, too)
