Well my thoughts about this are rather thread destroying, but as you requested my opinion on this...

Greenpeace is a good Group since we always need someone to point in a right way, BUT I will never join them.
One reason is that you have to live in a way that is earth friendly, animal friendly and so on, which I could never do. Since I lack the will/wish and the spirit to save mother earth in every aspect. I rather try to find my place in the World where I can do good things, like voting for governmental changes & decisions (which can be about environment), being good/bring joy to other people and of course rising maybe some when a family.

So what I try to do to save mother earth is basicly recycling, energy saving and use stuff that other people developed. Actually the energy saving process is rather more my area of knowledge, since I study technical computer science.
So everyone who owns a Air Conditioner should the fuck turn it off when leaving and you don't need to cool down your house so much, its ok to cool down a room but you don't need abnormal low temperatures in them just to feel fine.

What is left to say? Well don't force yourself to join groups because someone else said so.
Its ok to let people know that there are such groups but you don't need to force someone else to join it because you got a 5 second thought, that it might be good idea to rescue earth, people or your soul.

Live your life and do the right thing. If the earth fails its not your fault, and earth can't die since its just a planet that already existed million years ago. So if the earth 'thinks' its enough it kills us all and repeats from beginning... :-)

Been doing that at all times. Been using the candles most, because they are actually bright and romantic enough.

You should mention that you can actually WALK somewhere. You also failed to mention that you can actually take the public bus to somewhere as well.

I do turn the lights off when I leave a room. I use the bike to go to school (but I also take the train daily). Usually I drop my garbage in a bin, and if I can't find a bin in a near proximity, I usually end up dragging it with me until I find a bin.

When I turn off the computer, I pull out the energy cables, same for the television. I hardly have my heater on even in the winters (using a very good blanket). The only thing I'm bad with is the ammount of paper I have to use.

There are alot of ways of reducing your share into the global warming, but that doesn't mean you need to thrust it upon others. If someone wants tot ake care of the enviroment, you'll notice it anyways. If someone else doens't want to, it's his problem.. not yours.
