Changing models color

I always wondered if changing models colors to be easy to see is allowed or not.

In German :

Ich wunderte mich immer, wenn ändernde Modell Farben werden leicht zu sehen, erlaubt ist oder nicht.

I already asked ?
Nothing in the rules say "changing models color isn't allowed or allowed." Rules didn't even mention it.
Plus I asked some admin about it he said its okay.

I can't remember the path, where I said it's ok...

And I've never said I asked you , your name isn't up there , and idk from where did gpoint actually faked "color hack."

I think he is just asking about changing playermodels (skins)? Strider (or someone else, I dont really remember) do it since years and hes not banned. :D

Agree with breen, he's just changing the texture on standard rebel skin into completly red (So no matters if the map is dark or not, the player will flash up red and you can easy see him) it's not a hack... It should be allowed to change for this skin, i mean... How can it be inallowed :o ?

I think he ment that the "player will NOT flash up red"... tho I don't use this kind of things in HL2DM (don't need them, I play only on RP so no DM), I don't think it's much of a hack anyway. Most people use Skins anyway. Still, if it's illegal then it will stay illegal.

This so called hack not showing a player through walls, its just making easier to spot a player in darkness but hell, other models might be easier to spot too like a player hides behind a wall but part of his skin is visible because player X changed that skin to dinosaur lol
I think GPOINT shall see this if he didn't yet lol
If ext would like to use material wallhack he wouldnt tell anyone because its not vac bannable
